Who Should Attend?

Supervisors and managers with responsibility for supervising lifting operations who have sufficient experience of the use of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British Standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes. This course is aimed at people that already have site experience working as a slinger / signaller and want to progress onto the next level.

Joining Instructions

Experience and/or previous training as Slinger Signaller or Crane Operator. Supervisor CSCS Touch Screen is required within the last two years

Course Agenda

The 5 Days Crane Supervisor Lifting Operations CPCS A62 training course is designed to equip candidates with essential knowledge and skills. In addition, the training will address British Standard 7121, the roles of the crane supervisor and appointed person, and the preparation of work areas with exclusion zones. This holistic approach ensures candidates are well-prepared for real-world lifting operations and challenges..

Welcome to The Training Centre in Redditch! Getting here is straightforward. Start from the A441 Redditch and head north on Alvechurch Highway. Take the exit towards Southcrest/Lodge Park/Smallwood, and at the roundabout, take the 5th exit onto the A441 ramp towards Evesham/Stratford/Bromsgrove/Warwick/A4189. Merge onto Alvechurch Highway and continue straight. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Rough Hill Drive, then continue straight. At the following roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Evesham Road, turn right onto Edgioake Lane, and youll find The Training Centre on your right. Enjoy your visit!. Hot drink and water but no food

Accreditation

Candidates who successfully complete the Crane Supervisor Lifting Operations CPCS A62 or NPORS N405 training course will receive a Red CPCS Crane Supervisor card, which is valid for 2 years. This card serves as proof of their competence in crane supervision and lifting operations.

In order to maintain their accreditation, candidates must complete an NVQ within the 2-year period. Upon completion of the NVQ, they will be eligible to receive a Blue CPCS card, which is valid for 5 years. This demonstrates their continued competence and commitment to the industry.

The course consists of a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practicals, providing a comprehensive understanding of the role and responsibilities of a crane supervisor.
