Course Information

This course will enable the candidate to undertake duties of a crane supervisor as defined by the appointed person complying with legislation regulations Codes of Practice and industrial requirements. By the end of the course delegates will have the knowledge to be able to design safe lifting plans that are compliant with the law and take into account all health and safety requirements on site

Who Should Attend?

Supervisors and managers with responsibility for supervising lifting operations who have sufficient experience of the use of cranes to meet the requirements specified in British Standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes. This course is aimed at people that already have site experience working as a slinger / signaller and want to progress onto the next level.

Joining Instructions

Candidates must have an in date CITB Health, Safety and Environmental Test to the Supervisor level to attend this course. If you have not already informed us during the booking process, please advise of any special requirements website reading/writing difficulties, dietary, accessibility etc. prior to attendance. Please note that on occasions we reserve the right to refuse admittance to latecomers to avoid learner disruptions. Both Training and Assessments may be recorded for auditing purposes. Audio & Video records will only be shared with the relevant governing or licencing authority.

If youre travelling on the M8 from the East, exit at Junction 4 and take the third exit at the roundabout onto the A801. After a short drive, youll find the centre on your left. Coming from the West Exit at Junction 5, turn left at the T-junction, and after a mile, The Training Centre will be on your right. Accreditation

Candidates who successfully complete the 5 Days Crane Supervisor Lifting Operations CPCS A62 training course will be awarded a Red CPCS Crane Supervisor card, valid for two years. This card is a testament to their competence in crane supervision and lifting operations. To maintain their accreditation, candidates must complete an NVQ within the two-year period. Upon successful completion of the NVQ, they will qualify for a Blue CPCS card, which is valid for five years.
