Registration Time: 08:15am for 08.30am Start. Duration: 3 days. Lunch: Provided by Evolve unless at a customers premises. Please advise of any dietary requirements 24hrs in advance. Extra Information: If any delegates have special requirements e.g. wheelchair access, reading or writing difficulty, please let us know in order for us to provide an appropriate classroom or arrange assistance for written exercises. Delegates should have a basic understanding of the English language. Name changes are accepted up until the commencement of the course. Course Agenda

Treatment of an unconscious casualty, heart attacks, and resuscitation are some of the key topics covered in a First Aid At Work FAW training course. Participants will learn how to properly assess and provide first aid to someone who is unresponsive, as well as how to recognize and respond to a heart attack. The course will also cover the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator AED.

Shock, poisoning, and choking are other important areas that will be addressed in the FAW course. Participants will learn how to identify and treat shock, a life-threatening condition that can occur after a sudden illness or injury. They will also learn how to recognize and respond to different types of poisoning, as well as how to help someone who is choking.

Bleeding, burns and scalds, fractures, and seizures are additional topics that will be covered in the FAW course. Participants will learn how to control bleeding, provide first aid for burns and scalds, and immobilize fractures. They will also learn how to recognize and respond to seizures, a common medical emergency that can be caused by a variety of factors.

The FAW course will also cover asthma, severe allergic reactions, eye injuries, AED awareness, and major trauma recognition. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to an asthma attack, how to administer first aid for severe allergic reactions, and how to assist someone with an eye injury. They will also learn about the importance of AEDs and how to recognize and respond to major trauma. Overall, the FAW course will equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective first aid in a variety of emergency situations..

8:30am - 4:00pm (approx.) - finishing times can vary depending on the class. 30 minutes for lunch and 2 x 10 minute breaks.

If youre arriving by public transport, were just 15 minutes from Dyce Train Station and a quick 10-minute stroll from the nearest bus stop. When you arrive, simply head west on Auchmill Road from the A96. Continue straight onto the A96, passing through one roundabout. Keep right to stay on the A96, then turn right onto Dyce Drive. A quick right onto Wellheads Drive and another right onto Wellheads Crescent will lead you to us on your right.
