Who Should Attend?

The aim of the 3-day course is to give delegates a superb grounding in the practical actions you need to handle health and safety in your team.

Joining Instructions

Delegate’s National Insurance Number is required on the day of the training. As of January 2018 according to CITB Scheme Rules, all delegates must bring a form of in-date Photographic Identification (Passport, Driving Licence, Student ID, CSCS Card). This will be recorded by the trainer for auditing purposes. All delegates must be fluent in English for them to be able to complete the course and examination. Any attendees below the age of 18 are required to provide APT with written parental consent prior to attendance of the course which will be retained on file. If the situation arises when a delegate does not own Photographic Identification, they will need to bring with them two passport photos with their names written on the back which must be confirmed by two different professionals and some form of document to confirm their address (ie utility bill). Can I get Funding for the course? The Site Safety Plus course is approved by The CITB under the Grant Scheme. If you are a registered CITB Levy paying company and your payments are up to date, there are three tiers now available to claim back. Tier 1 = £30 Tier 2 = £70 Tier 3 = £120 Download the CITB Grant Claim Form Talk to your CITB Adviser about submitting the grant claim APT Health and Safely Training will provide you with all the information needed to submit an application for a Grant, or you can provide us with your CITB Levy number prior to the course which will be processed with the delegate's registration. Dress Code: Comfortable clothing recommended Stationary: We recommend delegates to bring their own pens to minimise contact between individuals. Refreshments: Free water is provided in the training suite. There is also a hot drinks vending machine. There are numerous food outlets and supermarkets within a short walk from our training centre. Certification: Your certificates will be produced within 4-6 weeks from successfully completion of the course. Both Digital and Hard copies of the certifications will be sent to you. Special Requirements: Where a delegate may have certain special requirements or where assistance be required, YCDI must be made aware of the individual’s requirement prior to the course commencement by the party or individual booking the course. All information must be offered voluntarily and all information received by You Can Do It Training Ltd. shall be treated as confidential in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Accreditation

The IOSH Managing Safely training course is accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health IOSH. Successful candidates will receive a nationally recognized certificate upon completion.

The course includes a 45-minute written paper with 20 multi-format questions, as well as a practical risk assessment project. These assessments are designed to evaluate delegates understanding of basic health and safety.
