Who Should Attend?

The refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the full SMSTS course or subsequent refresher course and can provide proof of attendance. It aims to bring Health & Safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics, many building on the previous five-day course programme, as well as introducing new subjects. Delegates who have exceeded the six month grace period are not eligible to take the refresher course.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Ipswich! Getting here is a breeze. If youre coming from the A14, head east over the Orwell Bridge. At junction 57, take the A1189 exit towards Ipswich/Nacton, keeping right to follow signs for Nacton Village. At the Nacton Interchange, take the 4th exit onto Nacton Road, then merge onto the A14 towards Bury St. Edmunds. At junction 52, exit onto the B1113 towards Bramford. Continue onto Ipswich Road, turn left onto Station Road, and then right onto Gipping Road. A slight right onto the restricted usage road will lead you to The Training Centre on your right. Plus, theres plenty of parking available!.

Accreditation

Successful candidates of the SMSTS Site Management 2 Day Refresher training course will receive a ConstructionSkills Site Safety Plus certificate. This certificate is highly recognized in the construction industry and is a requirement for many job positions.

The SMSTS certificate is valid for five years, after which it must be renewed by attending the SMSTS Refresher course. The course includes a compulsory examination paper consisting of 25 questions selected by the CITB. A pass is achieved by scoring over 80 on the exam.

Attending and passing the SMSTS Site Management 2 Day Refresher training course not only ensures that candidates are up to date with the latest safety regulations and practices, but also provides them with a valuable certificate that can advance their career in the construction industry. With the ConstructionSkills Site Safety Plus certificate, candidates can demonstrate their commitment to safety and their ability to manage construction sites effectively..

On completion of the course and successfully passing the end-of-course examination, the delegates are awarded the Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate. Delegates are required to attend both sessions; without full attendance the Certificate will not be awarded. The SMSTS qualification will also be added to the delegates CSCS card when they re-apply for it, providing they send a photocopy of their certificate with their card application.
