The Vehicle and Lorry Marshalling programme is designed for those responsible for supervising the movement of vehicles and pedestrians safely on and around a site. The aim of this course is to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the hazards caused by moving vehicles on a site and how to provide and maintain safe access routes for both pedestrians and vehicles through the implementation of the correct control measures in order to reduce risks to their safety. Otherwise known as Banksman training.

This programme is designed for those personnel responsible for supervising the movement of vehicles and pedestrians safely on a construction site or in an area frequently used by vehicles and lorrys.

4 / 5 day course covering Health & Safety at Work Act Management of Health & Safety at Work Construction Design Management Construction Health Safety & Welfare Provision & Use of Work Equipment (PUWER) Safe workplaces & Vehicle and pedestrian routes Methods of risk control & Vehicle selection inspection and maintenance Safe driving and work practises Signaller s safe working practises and signals Safe working practises for specific vehicles. 3 days of training followed by a practice day or two (if required). Theory test on day 4 and CPCS practical test day 5..

Training Venue

Welcome to The Training Centre in Farnham! Getting here is straightforward. If youre coming from Guildford, simply join the A31 Hogs Back and follow the signs to Farnham, avoiding the town centre. At the roundabout, take the A325 towards Farnborough, then turn left at the traffic lights onto Hale Road A287. After about 5 miles, look for a BP Garage on your right, and turn right just before the dual carriageway.If youre arriving from the M3 Junction 5, take the A287 towards Farnham. At the first roundabout, take the second exit. After about 2 miles, keep an eye out for the Mill Land sign. Once you reach The Training Centre, turn left into Rye Common Lane, take the second right, and cross the bridge. Park in Car Park P2, located beyond the CISTC building, and head to the canteen area to get settled. We look forward to welcoming you!. Canteen

Accreditation

The testing consists if a theory and a practical test. Theory and practical must be passed in order to achieve the A73 category. Please note that if you do not pass the CPCS Theory Test then you are not permitted to attempt the CPCS Practical Test. Additional fees apply if re tests are required. A73 CPCS Plant & Vehicle Marshaller Red (2 year) card. Candidates must achieve their NVQ within the 2 years to earn their Blue CPCS 5 year card..
